Our verdict

Convenient if you already pay for Topview and want to drive image and video generation from your coding agent instead of its web app. It is a closed, hosted service: every generation spends Topview credits priced per model, output lives in your Topview workspace, and per Topview's FAQ the Unlimited plan can't be used with the MCP, plugin or skill. For local, owned pipelines, ComfyUI or LTX-2 fit better.

What it does

Topview offers two agent integrations. The plugin (public repo topviewai/plugins, MCP id topview-browser) lets an agent create, organise and edit Topview Canvas content and opens the Canvas in the host browser. Topview MCP is a separate hosted server at mcp.topview.ai/mcp that runs campaign research, planning and content briefs in a Campaign Workspace. Both require signing in to a Topview account via OAuth.

How builders use it

  • Check pricing first: generations are charged in credits that vary by model, resolution and clip length.
  • Install the plugin in Codex with the three commands from the repo's codex.md, complete OAuth, then restart Codex and start a new task.
  • Verify with one read-only request before asking for paid generations.
  • Use the separate MCP URL only if you want the campaign-planning workspace; it doesn't install the Canvas plugin.
